(( Of course pirates rule! ^.^ ))
Artemis herself smiled gently. She was glad this man did not prove to be an imbecile as many other merchants, and even pirates, she had met. "That crew has nothing to do with me. They do not even belong to my father's merchant vessels. I have not seen them before today."
"So, are you really a merchant? Also, was your ship honestly attacked by pirates? If so, that's unfortunate and I would like to invite you to come to my family mansion for a rest. Perhaps you might even find it enjoying to speak with my father about business?" She was being polite by asking, as she should. However, there might have been some other motive for inviting him. That would remain to be seen, even by Artemis herself. She never plotted beforehand unless it was absolutely necessary.
She turned to Vitani. "You'll be staying over as well with your parents being away, correct?" Even though Vitani's parents weren't really away, they wouldn't mind her staying over. Better she be at Artemis's then alone at the docks.

Vitani nodded. She knew Artemis was up to something, perhaps no plan was actually in place, but something interesting was sure to happen. Vitani only had to watch, and wait.

Zorro asked "luffy looked away "ummm no not yet but I am going to answer her today" Luffy said as he looked back at the other captins. Luffy lookd at her "before we left the desert viv pulled me aside and asked me if in ten years when she was queen if I would be her king, then she kissed me I told her I was not sure but then he told me I did not have to answer right away and then she kissed me again and thats when you guys showedup and we ran for the ship" Nami became teary eyed and screamed at luffy "WELL I HOPE YOU TWO ARE VERY HAPPY! Vitani could not help but spare a glance at the crew nearby. There was screaming and crying going on. She raised an eyebrow as the one they called Nami ran off in tears, but said nothing. She turned back to face Captain Argememnon and Artemis. A sea breeze gusted by them, and the wind rustled the skirt of her dress and sent her hair flying. Vitani reached up to calm her hair and then fixed her skirt, smiling at what she imagined her hair had looked like when the wind blew it.

The bright smile that the Captain wore increased in length when the woman asked if he was indeed a merchant, and his eyes sparkled with mirth. “Yes, my lady. I am indeed a merchant. Argememnon Lucid at your service, captain of the most reliable, and quickest merchant vessel ever to transverse the high seas.” The captain’s long silky hair fell forward over his shoulder, and his long crimson coat crumpled against his hard chest as he swept into a low bow; however his sharp gaze never left the woman’s eyes. He quickly straightened and smoothed his wrinkled clothes, before answering her next question. “Madam, I lost my closest friend and first mate to foreign invaders as well as ten hirelings while transporting exotic spices across the Pacific.” The captain replied in a strong deep voice that held a reassuring tone. The long silky black hair of the captain of the crimson kiss rose and fell about his shoulders in the warm breeze like that of the tide of an ocean that spills upon a beach. His sharp, pale blue eyes never left the elegant visage of the woman whom was speaking to him and these eyes of his measured the woman’s worth to the doubloon. She seemed quite wealthy indeed from what information he could gather with but a glance and her female retainer might be blessed with just as much wealth as she. Argememnon was quite skillful in charming studious women such as these, and most of his fortune had been made draining the dowries of their sort. And though these two women seemed a bit different than those he would normally approach, he decided that at most they could most likely provide him with a price reduction with the goods he purchased in the port town. The young attractive pirate whom disguised himself as a legitimate merchant smiled warmly as the woman offered to have him accompany her to her mansion. “It would be my honor to accept such a gracious offer, my lady. And if your father is nearly as gracious as you, I’d surely enjoy speaking to him regarding business. Perhaps, he’d like something transported, and seeing as I’ve no previous engagements I assure you my rate will be quite reasonable.”
A gull gliding on the tepid breeze swooped down into a dive as it spotted a fish near the surface, it squawked loudly as the gull’s long beak penetrated the surface to tear the fish from the safety of the ocean. It swooped loftily overhead on a current with the fishes cold scaly body wriggling in it’s craw, before it changed course, landing on the crimson rail of the ship beside Argememnon’s large statuesque frame. The gull had given the captain a brilliant idea, while he was in town purchasing supplies, he would have the crewmen fish. And to motivate them, he would let them eat what the had caught, and he’d even order the ships cook to prepare their supper whichever way they desired. The captain's pale blue eyes gracefully moved to the woman named Vitani when Artemis mentioned her name. "Ah, such a sweet name if I've ever heard one. It is a pleasure, Miss Vitani." The captain said in a sweet musical voice. His large leather boots cluncked on the wooden deck boards as he stepped over to her. "If I may be so bold?" He asked politely reaching for her hand to offer her a gentlemanly kiss upon it.

Artemis smiled back in a sweet manner, though truly it was deviously given. She watched him with Vitani closely and held back a laugh. Vitani was quite the gentleman's lady. It was her job, nearly, in the crew. Artemis was far too loving of her mischievious ways and too proud of her sea-faring life to pretend too hard at being just a girl.
In a way it made Artemis sad that she would never find a love as great as the sea was to her. However, she also realized it made her life less complicated to be all about her job. She didn't ever have to worry about giving up her pirate's life either... unless she died or such...
With a wafty sigh she turned her attention to the sky. "If you'll excuse me, I think I'll go send a runner for a carriage."
She wasted no time in heading off for the street. There she found a young boy kicking at dirt. She leaned down and smiled at him. "Hi, Ezeckial. How would you like to send for a carriage at my manor?"
The boy grinned and nodded. "It'd be a pleasure, Miss O'Malley! Anything for you!"
Artemis laughed gently and pat his head. She took out a piece of parchment from her sleeve and handed it to him. It was pre-written with a request for the coachman to pick her up and any company she had. She carried many with her for her outtings every day. Ezeckial took it in hand and immediately ran off.
In fifteen minute's time he came back with a carriage at his heel. Artemis gave him several farthings, which wasn't much, but he seemed happy just the same as it was all Artemis had on her. He tapped his cheek and she shook her head with an amused smile. She bent down and quickly kissed his cheek. "Now off you go you rapscallion!"
Ezekial chuckled and skipped off to find his friends. Artemis rested her hands on her hips for a moment, watching him go. "Good boy, a bit odd... but he'll be a fine gentleman one day... if not a bit flirtacious."
She looked to the coachman and he hopped down, bowing. She nodded a returned greeting. "I'll go retrieve my companions."
With that she turned back to the dock and approached Vitani and Argememnon. With a curtsie she announced the carriage's arrival. "Whenever you are ready, sir and ma'am. My... our, carriage awaits."

Vitani curtsied in acknowledgement to Captain Argememnon's introduction, and replied, "The pleasure is mine, Captain." She let him kiss her hand and could not supress a small, playful smirk while he did so. Vitani herself was a flirt, which was partly why she had never been able to stick with a relationship for more than a month or two. That was also partly because she had yet to find the right man. She knew that something else lurked behind Argememnon's charm, but had yet to discover it. And there was no denying his good looks.
Vitani had watched him observe Artemis. She was adept at reading people, and knew that he realized Artemis's and her own social status. She could also tell that the captain had caught the fact that they were...different, so to speak. What he did not know was that they were pirates, and that they knew he was a pirate. A grin played across Vitani's red lips, just like the now gentle breeze caressing her face and hair. The ends of her ebony hair flowed freely in the wind, green eyes sparkling with reflected sunlight. The sun's rays, too, gleamed off of her glossy black locks.
She smiled sweetly at the sight of Ezekial. When he tapped his cheek and Artemis gave him a peck, Vitani could not supress laughter when he ran off. "Oh, Artemis, you do have a way with men..." She winked and continued, "And yes, the lad will grow to be quite the flirt. He's already well on his way to becoming one, to say the least." Vitani tossed a strand of hair out of her face and began striding gracefully towards the carriage, head held high as it should be.

Artemis took the lead towards her carriage, next to, but slightly before Vitani. She rolled her eyes at the motley crew and captain who was bleeding. She had the carriage driver pull away so Argememnon and Vitani might climb in. Then she approached the gang. "Do you need assistence? I can call someone to help carry him to a nearby inn for rest and a doctor."
She would help carry him herself, but it would give away too much. However, she was slightly worried. She might hurt people, but never with such severity as the wound on the captain's head looked to her.

Artemis nodded. "Ezekial," she called loudly. The boy showed up in a flash.
"Yes, mi'lady?" he asked, standing tall in the face of these other men.
"Would you be a dear and fetch my family's doctor? Then ask your brother to help carry the man to Jemma's inn, would you?" She watched the boy nod and run off.
When he returned he had Dr. Phillips in tow and his older brother Jameson. He smiled brightly and Artemis gave him another peck on the cheek. He then stood waiting for the man's crew to give instructions.
"He and his brother will help you carry your captain should you need help. The good doctor will attend him when you arrive at the inn. it's just around the corner there." She pointed down a street across the road. "I hope all goes well."
With that she returned to the carriage and waited for the other two to decide if they wished to get in.

Vitani watched the crew with mild interest. They seemed to be quite emotional...well, the one called "Nami" anyways. She thought it wise of Artemis to offer them aid before they attracted too much attention. The apparently foolish crew could cause a lot of trouble.
Vitani then stepped up to follow Artemis into the carriage. She lifted the hem of her skirt out of the way and climbed up the few steps into the carriage. She took her seat next to Artemis, leaving no room on that bench; Captain Argememnon would be forced to sit across from them. While she sat, Vitani whispered very quietly, so that only Artemis could hear, "Just say the word." She hoped that Artemis understood that she meant if she needed any assistance in whatever plan she was carrying out, to just let her know. Vitani smoothed the crinkles in her dress caused by entering the carriage and sitting down, then tucked a few strands of hair behind her right ear, waiting patiently for the Captain to join them so that they could be off.

Artemis was glad that Vitani had sat on the same side of the carriage with her. It would be easier for the two to share signals without the Captain's notice if they should need to.
Artemis quietly replied to Vitani, "You know the lark's song."
It probably even sounded odd for VItani to hear that response. However, Artemis' mother used to say it to her father whenever she left. Her father would say, 'Call if you need me' and her mother would always answer 'You know the lark's song', meaning her father would know if her mother needed anything. Lark was Celeste's, Mrs. Delahaye-O'Malley's, nickname.

Vitani, while smoothing her skirt, discreetly nudged Artemis's hand, as if to say she understood. She knew the story of Artemis's parents. She could usually figure out when Artemis needed something anyways; that was part of the bond they shared as best friends.
