Sometimes those in the castle believe that the royal house had adopted this one. She never acted much like a princess, unless that one single stern look was given by her mother. She would behave then litke the perfect child she was supposed to be.
This was one of those rebellious days. The classes she was allowed bored her, who honestly cared about needlepoint. Today she knew that she could leave, and wander, if only for a little while.
She had traded her finery in for nothing more than a simple servants dress. It was a plain brown with a simple white apron and bonnet. Her curled locks were well tucked beneath to conceal most of her appearance. The rouge, and lip paint, were gone, and she looked as plain as the dress, nothing like she normally did.
She headed towards a hidden cove she knew of. One where she could be in peace. She dodged the people easily, her steps light. Soon her feet hit the softness of the sand, and she walked over towards a large boulder stationed near the water's edge.
She would climb upon her boulder, listening to the water lap at the shore as she thought. She was Princess Kaelyn, heir to a massive fortune, and yet none of it was impressive to her.
She would sigh softly as her teal eyes would lock onto the horizon, watching as the sky began to turn from blue to the mottled red, orange, and yello of sunset.
